Abstract :
Here we present a far simpler interpretation of the noise power plateau behavior for perpendicular media. This simpler model will be backed up with copious spectral data, novel data analyses and theoretical arguments. However, beyond simply explaining the shape of the classic noise vs. density plot, the concept of cluster cutting offers a new understanding of noise in data recording.
