Abstract
During the last decades, multiphase PM motors are the main interest for researchers, especially for high power applications. This offers some advantageous on the drive side such as decreasing the static switch current stress levels [1] and working with the healthy driver in the event of a fault with the one of inverters [5]. In this paper, two different winding sets are used by displacing with phase difference of 30 electrical degrees for a multi-phase PM motor. This winding approach provides to supply the motor with two different converters by applying the currents out of phase of 30 electrical degrees to the stator windings. There are several studies in the literature covering this method [2-7].
