  • Abstract
Sendust alloy (Fe-Si-Al) flaky particles were used as microwave absorbing material because of its excellent soft magnetic properties such as high saturation magnetization, high permeability, low magnetocrystalline anisotropy, and nearly zero magnetostriction. The structure of FeSiAl alloy is similar to that of FeAl alloy; O. Ikeda etc. studied the transformation among A2, B2 and DO3 structures. The electromagnetic and microwave absorption properties of the composites employing FeSiAl alloy powders with different phase structure, as shown in Figure 1, were investigated. The magnetic moment of the different phase structure were calculate by the First-principles calculation. The results showed that the phase structure had significant influence on the saturation magnetization (Ms).
