Abstract :
This study aims to develop a prototype of a three-phase synchronous machine without mechanical bearing with four poles, with rotor to permanent magnets. Where radial forces and torque are generating electromagnetically. The machine will have an innovative topology and its main application is as centrifugal pump for artificial heart. The proposed machine comes with the prospect of a significant decrease in costs of obtaining the artificial heart, providing an opportunity for more people with cardiovascular problems, will make use of this technology. The application requires a machine to be compact, silent, efficient, durable and easy to control. Observing these characteristics, the three-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine without bearings has been chosen not to present the rotor windings, which reduces its volume; By having reduced noise due to absence of mechanical bearings; to present ease to your speed control; low maintenance; and presenting a smaller volume for a given power compared to a CC machine.
