Message from the general chair

Welcome to Boston—the City on the Hill; the Hub of the Universe—and welcome to the IEEE International Symposium on a World of Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks (WoWMoM), the intellectual hub and melting pot of ideas from researchers and practitioners interested in all aspects of wireless, mobile, and multimedia pervasive communications. Sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society and its Technical Committee on Computer Communications (TCCC), and co-sponsored by Missouri University of Science and Technology, the 16^th WoWMoM is held in the United States, in Boston, on the Boston University campus. During its history, the reputation of WoWMoM has rapidly grown and it has become one of the premier conferences in the field of wireless, mobile, and multimedia networking.
