Abstract :
This paper deals with the methodology for online study program development which was constructed to meet the needs of students, teachers and the institution. The proposed methodology consists of four phases: 1.) Problem definition, 2.) Strategic decision making, 3.) Implementation, 4.) Evaluation. In the first phase, situation analysis is performed and central problem is defined. Strategic decision making phase includes making a decision on several issues: choice of learning strategies, decision on delivery formats, choice of appropriate design, etc. In this phase, needs, target and task analysis must be performed. Also, instructional, delivery and evaluation strategy must be created. It is also recommended to perform TOWS and cost benefit analysis. In the implementation phase an online study program is prepared, based on the strategies created in the previous phase, and delivered to students. The fourth phase involves evaluation of student reactions, achievement of objectives and impact of the project on the institution. In addition, we present the case study of developing ePITUP online study at Faculty of Organization and Informatics. The purpose of the paper is to provide a good insight into methodology for online study program development. It will provide an effective guide for developing online courses and establishing an online study program.
