Abstract
This paper presents a summary of the laws related to electronic discovery as they apply to civil litigation and the implications of these laws as to how information assets need to be managed in an organization. The paper discusses the consequences of non-compliance and offers guidelines for information technology managers to address discovery requests related to electronically stored information.
