Abstract :
The paper introduces software tools that are suitable for control algorithms development of modern electrical drives. Time consuming control algorithms require for their implementation modern digital signal processors which include also the digital signal processor TMS320F28335. The first part of the paper describes DSP communication which is done through the serial communication interface. The second part deals with Code Composer Studio which includes all important software tools to develop new application program. The third part shows the visualization done by the LabVIEW software. In the fourth part, there is described implementation of a data collection system which is used for data storage from an AC drive with an induction motor. The correct activity of the data collection system is confirmed by experimental results which were obtained by measurement on a laboratory stand with the AC drive.
