Abstract
This paper proposes a dynamic social network model for the competition among three languages with agent based social circles modeling method. The parameters of the topological structure of constructed social network are closer to parameters of the actual social network, and the parameters of social network can be adjusted by setting the different social radius of the individual agents. The individual agents on the network can move, dead and reproduce, so the constructed social network is endowed with dynamic characteristics. The model for the competition between two languages of agent nodes in the language competition network is extended to the competition among three languages model of agent nodes in the language competition network. Finally we constructed a complex agent network simulation model for the competition among three languages. The language types of the agents in the initial network represent only three kinds of language A, B, C, and three kinds of bilingual agents (AB, AC, BC) and a kind of trilingual agents (ABC) can be produced through learning and forgetting along with the network evolution, so the competitions among seven languages in the network come to be true. This paper analyzes the impact of the spread of the languages about the social status, the scope of social interaction (social radius) and the population mobility (mobile population proportion) in the competition among seven languages, and thoroughly analyzes the impacts of the language competition about the proportion of the population and the concentrated degree of population in the three languages community.
