  • Abstract
    This paper studies vibration control of flexible beam using a piezoelectric stack actuator (PSA). The working frequency bandwidth of the PSA is experimentally measured. The modal frequency and modal shape of the flexible beam mounted with PSA are obtained by ANSYS modal analysis, and is also verified by experimental test. In order to attenuate the vibration of the flexible beam, a fuzzy controller (FC) is designed and experimentally realized. Acceleration responses of the structural system are evaluated experimentally under resonant and non-resonant excitation conditions. Compared to the peak value of the acceleration without control, the valve with fuzzy control is attenuated by 57.02%.
