Abstract :
Precise control of the material´s time-temperature profile is essential for preventing thermal runaway in microwave heating process. This paper presents results on tracking expected temperature of samples using a discrete-time model predictive control (DMPC) based on Laguerre function. Design of the temperature controller is presented, and simulation results from three cases: without any constraint and disturbance, with linear constraints and with linear constraints combined with disturbance verify the designed controller is effective.
