Abstract :
Through the analysis of 50 doubly-fed wind turbine gearboxes, the fundamental vibration feature of wind turbine gearbox and the fluctuation range of vibration value during the normal operation were studied. The method of determining the vibration evaluation threshold by using statistical average and standard deviation was proposed. Statistical analysis was performed with 50 wind turbine gearbox vibration signals. The vibration alarm value and hazard value which were proper for model W2000 wind turbine gearbox were calculated and compared with the values given by the standard VDI 3834. The results show that the vibration threshold given by the standard VDI 3834 is conservative. The vibration threshold calculation method proposed in this paper is more suitable for condition monitoring of wind turbine.
