Abstract :
Absolute value equation is an NP-hard problem in its general form. This paper focused on absolute value equation with 2n solutions. Firstly existent conditions of absolute value equation with 2n solutions was given, then we proposed an improved harmony search algorithm based on multiple population with clustering strategy. Numerical results show that our method has strong ability of exploration, and can obtain as many solutions to the absolute value equation as possible.
