Abstract :
In this paper a new zero-current switching full-bridge isolated DC/DC converter topology is introduced. The soft-switching conditions are obtained by using a semi-resonant L-C cell. No additional switches are required to control the resonant cell, thus the simplicity of the full-bridge architecture has been preserved. The main benefits of the proposed architecture are: zero current switching at both primary and secondary side, better exploitation of the HF-transformer, no additional controlled switches required neither at primary nor at secondary side. A 25kW application has been simulated and a 98% maximum efficiency has been predicted.
