Abstract
in this paper, we propose a method of 3D finite element analysis to predict the electrical behavior of an electrical conductor. The performance of a conductor depends on the nature of the material, but also of its metallurgical condition, of the electrical resistance of the inter-wires contact areas. In this work, first mechanical analysis allows to reproduce the wiring process to determine the elastic-plastic deformations of the wires, the shape and the pressure forces in the contact interfaces is conducted. Second electrical analysis to determine the electrical resistance of the deformed conductor is performed. The tangential and radial contact resistance and a non homogonous repartition of the conductivity are then taken into account.
