Abstract :
A novel motor-surge-voltage suppression method using a surge suppression cable that the authors have been developed is presented. The method enables to suppress the motor-surge-voltage which appears on both the motor terminals and the common-mode, and the effectiveness is confirmed by the experiment. Moreover, optimum parameters of the surge suppression cable for more reduction of the each motor surge voltage are discussed through the numerical analysis.
