Abstract
A multi flux permanent-magnet machine using radial and axial flux is presented in this paper. With both of flux and additional magnetic cores, the air gap flux density and power density are increased. For the analysis and design of the proposed three-dimensional (3-D) magnetic structure, a two-dimensional (2-D) analysis method is applied. The accuracy of the applied analysis method verified via the 3-D FEA. Test motor for electric bicycle is developed and compared with the conventional radial machine.
