Abstract :
This paper presents the application of fuzzy systems, genetic algorithms for optimization and neural network models as techniques for forecasting of wind speed time series. The results obtained from the forecasting simulations are used to emulate the short term wind speed with an extractor. The solution methods are described and compared between them, to determine the best solution and the respectively analysis.
