Abstract :
In this paper we propose a new third-order method for solving nonlinear equations. Considering a fix length of the floating point arithmetic with multi-precision, we have compared this iterative method with other methods and we have obtained similar and even better results regarding the number of iterations and the total number of function evaluations (TNFE), but only with the evaluation of the first derivative.
