  • Abstract
The elderly population has increased in recent years, leading to increased prevalence and incidence of chronic-degenerative diseases, leading to cognitive impairment. A new trend of intervention used by health professionals have been using technological resources in their clinical practices. The objective of this study was to compare the impact of two programs of cognitive stimulation. A program is composed of traditional techniques and the other by inserting a computer system with games called Promoting Cognitive Performance - ProDC. An experimental study with the elderly aged 60 or older, of both sexes, classified with mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia through the Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR). There were no statistically significant differences between groups. However, the results revealed important aspects to be discussed in the use of technological resources, such as games.
