Abstract :
Researches on software-related electromagnetic interference (SW-EMI) behaviors focus on either very simple microcontroller (such as Microchip PIC) or very complex one (ARM Cortex-Mx). The middle-rank complexity microcontrollers (uC) are seldom studied. The purpose of this paper is to begin a primary measurement of SW-EMI of three different commercial 80S1 uC. We obtain the instruction waveforms and analyze the SW-EMI behaviors of these uC. After determining the different characteristics on the waveform, the SW-EMI associated to specific instructions is determined. So the basic SW-EMI behaviors of different 8051 uC can be understood. These data are useful for the foundation of researches on middle-rank uC´s SW-EMI behavior and modeling.
