Abstract :
Memory palaces can be used to improve memory for elderly even when coping with mild cognitive impairment. This study will use the method of Loci (MoL) for people with early dementia still living at home. With the use of augmented reality, people make a walk through their own house and will be triggered by an app to memorize their relatives. By doing this, they will be encouraged to tell positive stories. The expected outcome will be an improvement of quality of life for both people with dementia and their relatives.
