  • Abstract
    As a non-chemical method for inactivation of microorganisms in water, plasma treatment is a promising because of active plasma species production ability of plasma discharge. There are different type of plasma sources for water treatment and one of them is `needle to plate´ configuration which was set up in our work. Water contaminated by Escherichia coliwill be treated by plasma for different durations and then the numbers of viable E. coliand pH will be estimated. The discharge voltage and current characteristics will be given.
