Abstract :
Presents a biorgrahical and scientific discussion on the life and work of Bernard Widrow. Widrow is renowned for his work in adaptive filters and adaptive controls, adaptive beamforming, pattern recognition, adaptive neural networks, bioengineering, and adaptive geophysical imaging. Here he discusses the progression of his career to the 1970s, from working with magnetic core memory in the 1950s to developing adaptive beamforming antennas in the 1960s.
