  • Abstract
This paper is devoted to implementation of asynchronized synchronous generator (ASG) for small installations. The ASG has an capability to turn rotor field and as a result to improve transient stability of generator. The stability improvement is demonstrated in the paper based on the time domain simulations. It is shown that excitation phase boosting of ASG allows to extend area of undangerous faults from the generator stability point of view. Also it is demonstrated that choice of appropriate phase of excitation boosting is crucial for improving transient stability of the generator.
