Abstract :
This paper presents an array of optical fibers for spatial imaging above a vision chip based on the on-vision chip method. The optical fibers can be embedded in 3D neuronal culture while they can be inserted into tissues as well (Figure 1). We prepare optical fiber arrays by planting into a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) base during molding process. Tips of fibers with a PDMS base are polished and leveled by batch. Furthermore, polymer concave lenses are integrated onto tips of fibers for a wide-angle imaging. Fibers with the PDMS base is directly mounted on a vision chip. Images are transmitted through fibers onto pixels of the vision chip. This paper demonstrates a spatial fluorescent observation above a vision chip.
