Abstract :
In this paper we present a sizing methodology to make the cross coupled inverter based delay cell supply insensitive. The delay cell is used to design a three phase supply insensitive oscillator with an output frequency range of 2.4-65 MHz for a control voltage range of 0.5 V to 1.2 V over a supply range of 1.2-1.8 V. The power consumption in this range was found to be between 360 nW and 13 μW. Further analyses of the oscillator characteristics are presented. The oscillator was simulated in LFoundry 150nm process in Cadence Tools.
