Abstract
As the media services´ usage and internet accessible mobile devices´ propagation are increased, a large amount of content generation and content sharing have taken place in real time. Therefore, mobile networks are the critical constituents in the future network. To meet this trend, the content-centric networking (CCN) is considered as the typical future network architecture. However, in the CCN, the movement of mobile devices (especially mobile content sources) leads to many problems like frequent routing updates, high resource consumption and repeated retransmission of interest packet. So, this paper proposes pre-allocated tentative name prefix mechanism for efficient fast mobility management in CCN environment. The proposed mechanism utilizes pre-allocated tentative name prefix pool for the fast mobility. Therefore, the proposed mechanism provides low interest message overhead and low resource consumption.
