Abstract
Information Content-Centric Networking (ICN) is a new paradigm which was proposed to solve the current Internet issues related to naming policy, bandwidth and other resources deficiency. The core idea of ICN is to detach content names from host addresses by indexing them and to disperse content divided into small pieces - chunks between in-network caches seeking to improve delivery of popular content. Therefore this attitude forms a new approach of identification, addressing and caching of such content in the network. It becomes important how to search for and transfer the content, but not how to connect clients to the network. The results of an information-centric network simulation using various caching parameters are presented as well as the influence of cache size and content popularity distribution to the number of successful requests from the cache and average link load are analysed on the basis of LITNET topology in this work.
