Abstract :
In this work, we consider a coordinated multipoint (CoMP) transmission system where each user equipments (UEs) may operate in energy harvesting (EH) or information detection (ID) mode. The system is optimized based on statistical channel knowledge for practical concern. To enhance the energy efficiency, we proposed a joint precoding design and operation-mode assignment to maximize the average energy harvested by the EH users subject to constraining the probability that the sum rate of all ID users below a target rate. To overcome the intractability of the optimization, the proposed scheme achieves suboptimal solution in a recursive manner.
