Abstract :
A wavelength controlled and frequency chirp reduced colorless laser diode is directly modulated by 256-QAM-OFDM data to achieve a high spectral efficiency of 8 bit/sec/Hz at 40 Gbit/s with an optimized BER of 3.7×10-3.
