  • Abstract
    In this paper, we present a novel design of a transparent circuit analog electromagnetic absorber for building window applications to control the coverage area of wireless communication in secure building or conference room. The presented transparent absorber consists of a transparent resistive film made of an indium-tin-oxide(ITO) and glass as dielectric spacer. Recently, transparent electromagnetic absorber including frequency selective surface was proposed to implement the transparency and miniaturization of absorber thickness. The proposed circuit analog absorber in this paper has the stability of incidence angle and transparency for various applications. Frequency absorption characteristics for different angles and TE and TM polarizations are presented through simulation and measurement. The measurement results show good agreements with the simulation results. The proposed structure provides the stable angle of incidence and wide absorption bandwidth as expected and can be applied to the window of secure building or other transparent applications.
