Abstract :
This paper reports on an innovative lens-coupled 2×2 array of broadband on-chip antenna-integrated harmonic receivers in a 0.25μm SiGe BiCMOS technology for multi-color imaging in an ultra-wide frequency band of 0.16-1THz. For the multi-color receiver operation under simultaneous illumination by multiple harmonic signals, the antenna-circuit co-design aspects become crucial. Besides the classical requirements on the antenna performance, the herein implemented on-chip antennas must fulfill some other requirements relevant for the optimum multi-color operation that will be studied in this paper.
