Abstract :
The 21-GHz band is expected to be used to transmit next-generation broadcasting services. We previously proposed a wide band transponder configured with an array-fed imaging reflector antenna that enables to combine enough power for large capacity signal transmission and that can also alter its radiation pattern to mitigate fading. We evaluate here the electrical performance of a prototype beam forming network and the measured radiation patterns of the feed array directly connected to the prototype beam forming network.
