Abstract
This paper proposes a novel architecture for disaster resilience of optical access networks. The proposed scheme is simultaneously passive, flexible and completely secure. The architecture is implementable on WDM, TDM or TWDM schemes. The scheme has a long reach and does not require on-field amplifiers. We also show that the proposed architecture is a budget scheme and has all the desirable properties of access networks.
