Abstract :
The optimum performance of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) is very important thing in the telecommunication business. The failure function on BTS will give the loss of potential revenue and cause to loss of loyalty customer for the company. In order to meet the customer demands, the company must always keep the reliability of telecommunication devices such equipment on the BTS. Based on historical data, corrective maintenance for BTS equipment was reached around 16% from the overall total corrective maintenance telecommunications equipment. This happens because there are often failures to the appliances. The maintenance managers have not been able to calculate the maintenance cost needs to ensure performance equipment because it could not predict the condition of these equipment. Additionally, the equipment will undergo aging and cause the hazard rate increased, so that the calculation of the economic life of the unit and the optimal amount of maintenance crews need to be analyst. For determining and estimating the economic life of the BTS component and the optimal amount of maintenance crews, to solve all the problems above, this paper is proposed the application of Life Cycle Cost (LCC). This application is useful to simplify and minimizing the LCC calculation process. The result shown based by input data the optimum of maintenance crews need 1 person per shift with 3 years optimal age and total maintenance cost of IDR. 168,960,292.
