Abstract :
The principal manifestations, causes and harms of automatic voltage control (AVC) mismatch in hierarchical and regional large-scale power systems are summarized. Based on the analysis of the essence of AVC mismatch, a game model of volt/var control is presented. The payoff function which consists of the relevant operation indices in a certain control mechanism and includes the control avails and costs was constructed for the AVC game. The payoff model is the function of game mechanism, interesting extents of players towards the related indices and strategy combinations. Iterated Elimination of Dominated Strategies method is adopted to solve the Nash Equilibrium of AVC game. The Nash Equilibriums of two different kinds of game mechanisms are compared and analyzed through a simulation. The results showed that the proposed method for AVC game based on payoff function model is helpful to the amelioration of the AVC mismatch between main grid and subsystem.
