Abstract :
The worldwide development of photovoltaics (PV) has already caused over-voltage and backflow-overload issues during middays in low voltage (LV) networks. On the other hand new environment-friendly technologies such as electric vehicles (EV) and heat pumps (HP) are supposed to introduce under-voltage and line overload issues in the evening. Distributed storage (DST) is considered as one of the key solutions to solve this paradox but a suitable management is necessary for the implementation. This paper analyses different storage options in LV grids based on system modelling and simulation. The results are analyzed with the help of the smart grid metrics (SGM) framework [1].
