  • Abstract
In shooting, the mind and body interaction are important. It is a sport that demands a high concentration and precision. During air rifle shooting, the shooters adopt a mechanically unstable body posture which would enable them to shoot with a higher precision. The manner in which athletes distribute the body weight and the weight of the rifle on their feet are crucial for it will affect their stability while performing the shot. In this study, the effect and changes in percentage of body weight distribution on the performance score obtained by athlete are investigated. Three subjects shot 40 shots in a time frame of an hour while wearing pressure sensors. Recordings were conducted during each shot fired by the athlete. Final data were analyzed using SPSS software. From the bivariate correlation coefficient obtained, there was correlation found between the percentage of weight distribution between both feet and score obtained by one athlete.
