Abstract :
This paper introduces common agility evaluation criteria for fighter post-stall maneuver missions and constructs visualizing simulation environment to aid agility evaluation. Firstly, Sharkenhausen maneuver is selected as the post-stall agility standard to evaluate fighter performance during acquisition and tracking mission. Subsequently, this paper presents a dynamic inversion tracking control design and realizes Sharkenhausen maneuver for F-16 aircraft nonlinear model in Simulink. Finally, the multi-aircraft visualizing simulation environment is established with Simulink and FlightGear simulator to generate a real-time 3D display for Sharkenhausen maneuver. With an intuitive display effect of FlightGear simulator, the simulation results show that remarkable post-stall maneuver agility is achieved for the tracking design in this paper.
