Abstract
This paper is devoted to an analysis of uniform temperature effect on long multi-span bridge from the aspect of the atmospheric temperature changes. It is proposed that the value of atmospheric temperature conform to type I extreme value probability distribution. By performing stationary binomial process simulation of atmospheric temperature, the extreme value of atmospheric temperature that meets certain guaranteeing probability in design reference period is obtained. The method of effects combination coefficient is proposed on the basis of Turkstra rule and a simplified calculation formula is given. Furthermore, the configuration and mechanical properties of cable-sliding friction seismic bearing are described and theoretical study about its applicability in long multi-span bridge is taken.
