  • Abstract
The Systems approach to develop school bus is suggested to be a series hybrid. The components in the series hybrid are divided into a primary power, which are fully electric and a secondary power, which will be for range extension. This paper not only gives a solution, also selects a preliminary motor solution. The efficiency way is the transmission can improve the motors ability to recapture braking energy during regenerative braking. The model has focused on maximizing energy efficiency, minimizing operating cost, and providing a product which is functional under the scope of each system domain. As a result, this assessing system behavior and evolution after the system is delivered.
