Abstract :
Two standards organizations, the IEEE and NSF International (NSF) are writing standards for the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) program for computer servers, raising the prospect that, in the near future, data centers may be powered by EPEAT-qualified servers. This article briefly describes the EPEAT program and provides a general description of the emerging standards for computer servers.
