Abstract
With the use of an internal printed loop matching circuit, a small-size uniplanar antenna with eight-band LTE/GSM/UMTS operation in the tablet computer is proposed. The obtained impedance bandwidth across the operating bands can reach about 262/1610 MHz for the LTE/GSM/UMTS bands, respectively. Only with the antenna size of 40×15×0.8 mm3, the proposed planar antenna has the compact operation with more than 30% antenna size reduction. Furthermore, the measured peak gains and antenna efficiencies are about 2.81/4.97 dBi and 79/87% for the LTE/GSM/UMTS bands, respectively.
