  • Abstract
Developing the capability to project how climate change will affect a particular region--any region--on Earth is a high-performance computing problem with enormous economic and health impacts. Techniques to resolve regional-scale features in global climate models are being developed and validated on leadership computing systems. In time, these regional-scale-resolving global climate models will arm local and state decision makers with the information needed to prepare for both short- and long-term impacts of climate change.
