Abstract
Continued growth of renewable power generation could lead to a sustainable energy future with lower greenhouse gas emissions. A recent trend highlighting this growth is the installation of solar and wind power generation exceeding that of new conventional power generation from coal and nuclear power plants. Furthermore, the cost of electricity generation by solar and wind is rapidly approaching grid parity in many regions of the world.
