Abstract
With ever increasing acoustic noise pollution, reducing noise continues to be a significant challenge. Active Noise Control (ANC) is an elegant approach to neutralise noise in the acoustic domain. ANC is developing rapidly because it permits improvements in noise control with potential benefits in size, weight reduction, and lower system cost. In addition, noise can be reduced without physical modification of the existing noise sources or their physical arrangement. Over time, ANC systems have been improved by the digital technology revolution. In response to the growing demand for such ANC systems, many algorithms and techniques have been developed to efficiently decimate noise. The algorithms of the ANC can be extended to be effectively applied to vibration control, fault diagnosis, mechanical dynamics tracking and much more.
