Abstract
Among numerous Nyquist-rate analog-to-digital converter (ADC) architectures introduced throughout the years, three have found the widest usage: flash, pipelined, and successive-approximation register (SAR) topologies. In this article, we focus on the last two and study their similarities and differences.
