Discusses the ethical, legal, economic, and academic implications of plagiarism with a special emplhasis on the ramifications for IEEE Proceedings and other IEEE publications. Reports on rules the IEEE imposes on authors and identifies the steps the IEEE is taking to ensure copyright protection of intellectual property.
