Abstract :
FOR MUCH OF the past 50 years, remote sensing from space has been conducted by individual, relatively large satellites. Today, US company Skybox Imaging is seeking what its chief engineer, Jonathan Dyer, calls a ???paradigm change in Earth observation??? by deploying a constellation of much smaller spacecraft based on commercial off-the-shelf technologies (COTS).
